We can always use volunteers to help out at weekly adoption events, clean cat cages at Petsmart, transport animals to and from adoption events, and of course to foster animals. If you are interested in committing to help our cause, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at .
We can not rescue an animal unless we have a foster home for it to go to. Sometimes, a foster will have an animal for quite a long time, and we need all our fosters to understand this and be prepared if this happens to be the case. Sometimes a dog is heartworm positive, and we have to keep them until the treatment is complete. This can be anywhere from 6 weeks to 5 months. Sometimes these beautiful, wonderful creatures have behavior issues that make them act differently at adoption events and may take a little longer to get adopted. But most of the time, once an animal is deemed healthy and ready for his/her new home, they get adopted quickly, as long as the foster is able to get them to adoption events and be available to answer inquiries any time they come in. We do ask that the fosters take their rescues to any vet appointments that are required and arrange for pick up. We can supply food, training pads, litter, vaccines, etc...
Basically, we can't do our job without these amazing people that volunteer with us. Every bit of help....helps....a lot!
